Tijuca Forest

This tour is special for the nature lovers as we take you for a walk through the Tijuca National Park, a piece of tropical rainforest in the middle of Rio and the biggest urban forest in the world! You will see plenty of wildlife, waterfalls and breathtaking views

​

Itinerary (timings are rough estimates):

From 9:00-9:30 am: Hotel pickup by car (southern zone locations only including Ipanema, Leblon and Copacabana).  Please note that travelers staying outside of the southern zone are requested to meet in front of Copacabana Palace Hotel for pickup at 9:00 am.

​

10:00 am: You will be taken to the sector C entrance of The Tijuca National Park (entrance fee included).

​

10:15 am: Begin with a 40 minute hike to "Pedra Bonita" at 696 meters above sea level.  The view is glorious and you are opposite the notorious Pedra da Gavea.  

​

11:45 am: Continue your walk to "Vista Chinesa" viewpoint. 

​

12:30 pm: Arrival at "Vista Chinesa," a beautiful viewpoint built around 1903 to honor the Chinese presence in Rio.  From there, you can see Christ the Redeemer, the Sugarloaf, Lagoa and most of the southern zone.

​

13:00 pm: To finish off your tour, we will take you to a waterfall located 15 minutes down the road where you can take a refreshing dip.

​

14:00: Hotel drop off (in the southern zone only)
